JB & Renée are the Traveleaters, a travel blog for the gastronomically inclined. They love food so much, so that it plays a huge role in their travel decisions. If a destination promises to have interesting food, then you can be guaranteed it’s high up on their bucket list. Τhe Travel Blog of JB & Renée can be found at www.willflyforfood.net. But let’s see what they said to us:

  • Tell us a little bit about your website and yourself ?

We’re JB and Renee, the Traveleaters of Will Fly for Food. Nothing gets us more excited about visiting a new place than the food. For us, it’s the most exciting aspect of travel. We’re open-minded so we always look forward to experiencing new and exotic dishes, things that we can’t find anywhere else. Our blog is a representation of our mutual passion for travel and food.

  • How many countries have you visited ?

We’ve visited 22 countries thus far.

  • What are some of your favorite locations you have explored ?

Japan is one of our favorite countries so it’s always a pleasure going there. We try to visit at least once a year. We visited Turkey a few years ago and fell in love with it. It’s such a beautiful and geographically diverse country. The people are wonderful too, so welcoming and generous. We especially loved Cappadocia. We enjoyed it so much that we’d like to go back and live there for a few months if we can.

  • What was the best dishes that you ever test in your travels ?

We both love Japanese food which is why we enjoy going to Japan so often. I don’t think we’ve ever had a bad dining experience there. No matter what region we visit, the food is always phenomenal. So fresh and meticulously prepared.

  • What is your favorite place on Earth for traveling and why ?

Japan is definitely one of our favorites. We’d like to explore every prefecture if we can. As described, the food is incredible and the culture is endlessly fascinating. Taiwan is another. It’s a wonderful country with warm and friendly people. We’re actually going there next week to travel around the country for two weeks. It’ll be my third trip to Taiwan and Ren’s second.

  • Some of the most amazing beaches and islands that you visited ?

To be honest, we never get too excited about beaches in other countries because we’re from the Philippines, which is home to some of the best and most beautiful beaches in the world. Palawan was named the best island in the world for two years now I think, and Boracay is always up there even though it’s already overdeveloped. And those are just two of the thousands of stunning islands we have here. If you like beaches, then the Philippines is definitely for you.
