Thanh Vu is a travel ambassador who dreams of sharing the charm and beauty of Vietnamese life, culture, tradition and landscapes with visitors. We ask some question to Thanh.

  • In how many countries have you been?

I’ve been to 4 countries: Laos, Thailand, China, and Cambodia.

  • Tell us some favorite attractions from your travels?

My favorite place is the Old Town of Hoi An an exceptionally well-preserved example and a unique heritage site of Vietnam. Hoi An is amazing. People light up the lanterns and hang them in front of their houses. The old quarters in Hoi An are peaceful and full of surprises. And Khao Yai National Park in Thailand with amazing wildlife such as bears, gibbons and elephants.

  • Some of the most amazing beaches that you visited ?

The beaches in Da Nang, Bai Tu Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay are the most beautiful that I have visited until now.

  • What are the things to do for you in Hanoi, your hometown ?

The most top things to do in Hanoi for me is walking, sightseeing and cooking.

Journey to Bai Tu Long Bay

Michał Dworniczuk, Adrianna Olszewska and her daughter Karolina were my special customers. They won the prize of ToToPho – a Vietnamese restaurant in Warsaw, Poland and were sent to Hanoi for a week. During their stay, they visited a beautiful untouched island and had great time there. Photo was taken by Wiktoria Górecka from Pyza Made in Poland.

Visiting the wicker weaving village with Thanh

Local legend has it that in the 17th century, Lưu Thượng Village was invaded by wild grass. A local man used the grass to weave daily items and passed the techniques to other neighbors. The villagers sliced bamboo trunks into flat slices and dyed them. After that, they ‘re dried by sunlight and wind to prevent moldiness.
