Η Μικρή Ινδία στην Μπανγκόκ είναι γνωστή ως η περιοχή και αγορά Παχουράτ (Pahurat) που βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στην Κινέζικη συνοικία την περίφημη Chinatown, όπως επίσης βρίσκεται και πολύ κοντά στον ποταμό Τσάο Πράγια το ποτάμι που διασχίζει την πόλη. Η οδός Παχουράτ κατασκευάστηκε το 1898 και αργότερα εδώ συγκεντρώθηκαν οι Ινδοί της Ταϊλάνδης.

Η αγορά Παχουράτ (Pahurat) είναι γνωστή για τα κλωστοϋφαντουργικά προϊόντα της όπως επίσης για προϊόντα από μετάξι και βαμβάκι. Ο ναός Gurdwara Siri Guru Singh Sabha που φαίνεται και στην φωτογραφία χτίστηκε το 1932 στην περιοχή και είναι φημισμένος ως ένας από τους μεγαλύτερους ναούς Sikh εκτός Ινδίας.

Phahurat Market / Little India Bangkok
Phahurad market is an Indian market. There are Chinatown and Sampen Market nearby. You can reach it from Sampen Market in about 5 minutes, but there are places where the road is very narrow and you may miss it.
This time, many shops were closed because they arrived at the market after 5 pm. Next time I would like to come earlier.

Από τα παλαιότερα μάρκετ της Μπανγκόκ βρίσκεται στη περιοχή Παχουράτ και πολύ κοντά στην Κινέζικη Συνοικία. Είδη ρουχισμού, μικρά καταστήματα και εστιατόριο με κουπόνια στον τελευταίο όροφο θα συναντήστε στο τετραώροφο κτίριο της Μικρής Ινδίας. Γνωστό για τις μεγάλες αίθουσες με πωλητές τροφίμων που πωλούν γλυκά και αλμυρά, καθώς και είδη ρουχισμού, μόδα και χειροτεχνία.

The Old Siam Shopping Plaza in Bangkok, Little India
The Old Siam is a shopping mall well-known to be the location for Thai foods and Thai silk. It is maybe old and outdated but it really is a hidden treasure. This place will warp you back to the old time of Thailand and you will find it very interesting.
The old Siam plaza is a shopping mall which has been established for over 22 years, located on Tri Phet Road. The Old Siam is divided into two main atriums and three floors.
One of the area there, you will find all many kinds of food and Thai desserts. Moreover, the Old Siam is the center of silk; you can come here to buy different kinds of silk products and accessories such as a golden belt and hairpins. Some of the shops here are selling electronic devices as well.
In the surrounding area, The Old Siam Plaza is near Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre, where hosted some very important plays and shows of various kinds especially Khon or Ramayana, which is the ancient and traditional Thai plays. Also, you can find Phahurat market, often known as Thailand’s Little India, packed with textile-related shops featuring fabrics, tailoring tools and accessories and ready-made clothing in a cheap price.

Another color of Bangkok : Little India Phahurat road in Bangkok, Thailand
I went to Phahurat road to eat famous Indian food in Bangkok. I ate at the famous Toney Restaurant and strolled down Phahurat Street called Little India. I felt a lot different from the usual streets of Bangkok, and once again I thought Bangkok was a city of many colors mixed.
